I would like to
pass on my genuine thanks to both
JULIE FEDELE
and
BILL BOOTH
Both were instrumental in finally getting this story in to print.
Between them they have spent many hours, much of it in their own time,
gathering information, editing and filling in the gaps, as my memory
recalled many other adventures and escapades that have made my life so
colourful. My niece Julie Fedele volunteered to take on the task. Over a
three year period, she set herself to interview a number of people who
have been instrumental in the fabric that has been my life story. I will
always be grateful for the work she has achieved. She persevered day and
night, when necessary, above and beyond my expectations.
Bill Booth further edited and re-wrote some chapters as certain
happenings were remembered or another colourful facet of my life
emerged. He also expanded on recent episodes of my life due to his
involvement and first-hand knowledge of the land at Port Coogee and his
involvement in the charitable projects in both Myanmar and Australia,
with which he had also been closely involved
I am also grateful to those who have given of their time and memories so
willingly to relate the humour and the historical facts that have come
together in what I feel is now an interesting narrative of my life.
There were many incidences related to Julie by my family, sisters,
friends, in-laws, current and previous employees and business associates
both here in Australia and Myanmar. There were experiences and
adventures that, in many incidences, I had forgotten. This has made it
all very enjoyable, being able to relive these experiences that had
occurred so long ago. To these people I am extremely grateful.
